We collect information you provide directly, such as your username and, if you create an account, your email address. We also collect usage data such as courses you read, topics you complete, open or pass, and your daily streak. A unique anonymous identifier is created when you first open the app so we can keep your progress, even before you create an account.
Your data is used to provide and improve the Brainchef experience, personalize your content, and maintain your progress across sessions. We process it on the basis of providing the service you request, our legitimate interest in improving Brainchef, and your consent where applicable.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure and may be processed in the European Union and the United States, including by our service providers. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Any images you attach to a support request or bug report are stored privately and used only to help us assist you.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and Apple or Google for authentication. These services have their own privacy policies.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove all associated data.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by contacting contact@brainchef.app, or delete your account directly in the app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Brainchef is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
